LOWELL, Mass. -- The UMass Lowell Volleyball team was defeated in straight sets by New Hampshire on Friday night at Costello Athletic Center. The set scores were 15-25, 10-25 and 12-25.
With the loss, the River Hawks fall to 4-22 overall (1-8 AE), while UNH improves to 17-8 and 9-1 in America East contests.
Freshman outside hitter
Haley Shimon (Des Moines, Iowa) totaled a team-high nine kills and a .400 hitting percentage, while junior right side hitter
Elima Ahzi (Chula Vista, Calif.) added four kills. Freshman middle blocker
Lade Adeniyi (Sprinfield, Ill.) finished the match with three kills and two service aces.

Lindsey Visvardis (Homer Glen, Ill.) posted a team-high 11 digs in the losing effort for UMass Lowell.
The River Hawks return to action on Sunday, November 8th against Hartford at Costello Athletic Center. Match time is 1 p.m.
