(.PDF)PHOENIX, Ariz. -- The UMass Lowell Volleyball team was defeated in straight sets at Grand Canyon on Saturday night at Antelope Gymasoum in the season finale. The set scores were 15-25, 22-25 and 9-25.
The River Hawks end their season with a 4-27 overall record and Grand Canyon finishes its season with a 7-21 mark.
Freshman middle blocker 
Lade Adeniyi (Springfield, Ill.) and freshman middle hitter 
Haley Shimon (Des Moines, Iowa) each notched a team-high five kills. 
Elima Ahzi (Chula Vista, Calif.) and 
Erica Cappellino (Penfield, N.Y.) each managed four kills in the losing effort. Adeniyi also notched three blocks, while Cappellino hit at a team-high .429 clip.
Junior setter 
Alexa Toth (Portland, Ore.) totaled 20 assists running the River Hawks' offense. Sophomore 
Malorie McIver (Austin, Texas) finished the match with a team-high 11 digs, while 
Lindsey Visvardis (Homer Glen, Ill.) also chipped in with nine digs on the defensive for the River Hawks.
Co-Captain 
Rachel Arnason (Kelowna, B.C.) played in her final collegiate match for UMass Lowell, totaling four kills, three digs and one block.
UMass Lowell notched 11 kills in the second set with a .212 hitting percentage.
