Box Score Box Score (PDF)HANOVER, N.H. – The UMass Lowell men's soccer team suffered its fourth-straight defeat, falling to Dartmouth College 4-0.
In the 13th minute the Big Green took the lead on a corner sent in by Gabe Stauber. The ball was deflected in the box and Colin Heffron was the last player to get a touch to send the ball into the net.
Alex Adelabu and Hugh Danilack added two goals 50 seconds apart to give Dartmouth insurance in the 68th and 69th minutes.
The River Hawks best opportunity came in the 64th minute.
Guilherme Rodrigues (Lowell, Mass.) sent a cross into the box that connected with
Homero Morais (Somerville, Mass.) but the senior just put the ball over the crossbar.
Richard Mulo (Malden, Mass.) had an opportunity but his shot was headed off the line in the 89th minute.
"Dartmouth is a quality opponent and it showed. They wore us down in the second half. Our young guys held tough but the long strech of games we've been through began to show. I'm proud of our boys, we just got be well rested for Tuesday's game," said Head Coach

The Big Green outshot UMass Lowell 16-7. Adelabu had a game-high five shots, and Rodrigues led the River Hawks with three.
Austin Kroll (Baltimore, Md.) made four saves, including the save of the night in the 75th minute. With the Big Green's Alexander Marsh on the doorstep facing an empty net Kroll slid across the line out of nowhere to make the point-blank rejection.
Alex Bouthot (Tewksbury, Mass.) played the last 5:34 in relief.
UMass Lowell returns to Cushing Field on September 23 to take on the Fairfield Stags at 7 p.m.
