UMass Lowell baseball rally came up one run short at Bryant College on Tuesday afternoon, 5-4. The River Hawks junior third baseman
Matthew Sanchez (Sunrise, Fla.) went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored.
The River Hawks have dropped its last five and fall to 8-7 on the season and 2-0 in the America East. Bryant improved to 11-8 and winners of five of six.

UMass Lowell will play at Maine this weekend. The Bulldogs will host America East foe Albany in a four game set starting Friday.
Bryant jumped on the board in the second when Carl Anderson knocked a two-out single up the middle to score Buck McCarthy to grab the early 1-0 lead.
Leading 3-0 heading into the bottom of the fourth, Bulldog's John Mullen hit a two-run double to left field to take a commanding 5-0 advantage.
UMass Lowell would commence a comeback in the sixth. Sophomore

The River Hawks had a chance in the eighth, but managed to cross one run over the plate after a RBI single to center from Sanchez. UMass Lowell had the bases-loaded and one out, when junior
Luke Reynolds (Manchester, N.H.) hit a ground ball back to the pitcher, who throw home and then to first to snuff out any chance of comeback.
Freshman
Raz Bracha (Irvine, Calif.) took the loss and fell to (1-2) on the season. He lasted 5.2 innings and allowed eight hits, five runs, three walks and stroke out one. Sophomores
Thulani Denaro (Acton, Mass.) and
Jordan Del Sol (Elizabeth, N.J.) combined to pitch 2.1 scoreless innings to close out the game.
Bryant will start senior Vaughn Hayward., improved to 2-1. Â Hayward lasted six innings and gave up three runs. Â Â Â
