LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell men's soccer team travels to the University of New Hampshire for its final road game of the year on November 1 at 12 p.m.
River Hawk ReviewUMass Lowell went 2-0-0 last week extending its winning streak to three and unbeaten streak to five.
Homero Morais (Somerville, Mass.) was named River Hawk of the Week after he scored a goal in each game.
Wuilito Fernandes (Praia, Cape Verde) and
Austin Kroll (Baltimore, Md.) swept the America East awards winning Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively. The River Hawks are 7-8-1 and sit in second place in the conference with a 3-1-1 mark.
Flying HighFernandes leads the offense with five goals and two assists for 12 points. Morais has 10 points from four goals and two assists.
Carlos Ruiz (East Boston, Mass.) and
Guilherme Rodrigues (Lowell, Mass.) lead the team with three points. Kroll leads the conference with 79 saves and has recorded four shutouts. He boasts a 1.38 goals against average with a .782 save percentage.
Scouting New HampshireThe Wildcats (5-9-1, 1-4) have one win in their last six games, and are in the midst of a three-game losing streak. David Schlatter leads the team with three goals and one assist for seven points. A.J. Albers and Fazal Nabi have two goals for four points each. Travis Worra has made 12 starts (46 saves) and has a goals against average of 1.31 and a save percentage of .742. Ryan Carpenter has two shutouts in three starts with 12 saves. He holds a goals against average of 0.33 and a .923 save percentage.
