Ed Stephenson, named UMass Lowell's head lacrosse coach on July 27, did his first interview Sunday night on Lacrosse Talk with host Dan Matthews.

Stephenson talked about his second time starting a Division I program. He started the program at Binghamton University in 2001 and went 9-4 overall and 6-0 in the America East Conference three years later. Stephenson also talked lacrosse hotspots, his 12 years in America East and what he plans to build his program around: character.
Stephenson came to UMass Lowell following two seasons at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County preceded by his 10 years at Binghamton.
