No. 3 UMass Lowell meets No. 2 Southern New Hampshire tonight in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship semifinal round at George J. Larkin Field.

With a victory, UMass Lowell will move on to the championship Sunday (time TBA) against the winner between No. 1 Merrimack and No. 5 Franklin Pierce. A River Hawk win, coupled with a Franklin Pierce win, would enable UMass Lowell to host the Championship Sunday.

Franklin Pierce visits Merrimack tonight at 7:00.

Southern New Hampshire won the regular season meeting on Oct. 17, 3-0, in Manchester, behind one goal and one assist from Jordan Branco and three assists from Chris Tsonis. The Penmen enter the match having won three straight, including Wednesday's quarterfinal clash against No. 7 Southern Connecticut, 5-0.

UMass Lowell defeated No. 6 Le Moyne on Wednesday, 3-1, behind two goals from junior M Daniel Galvin and a penalty kick from sophomore F Homero Morais.

The River Hawks are winless in their last five meetings against Southern New Hampshire, last winning during the 2008 season (2-0). Last year, the Penmen prevailed in Lowell (3-1) during the regular season; and again in Manchester in the NE-10 semifinal (3-2).

Both teams are expected to make the field for the NCAA Tournament East Regional. The NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Selection Show is slated for Monday at 5:30 p.m. on www.ncaa.com.
