Junior F Monica Yanez scored both goals, including the game-winner in the second minute of overtime, to lead the University of New Haven over UMass Lowell, 2-1, Saturday afternoon in a Northeast-10 Conference women's soccer clash at Cushing Field.
The loss was the fourth straight for UMass Lowell, which slipped to 4-9-2 overall and 3-9-1 in the NE-10 entering Wednesday's regular season home finale against Saint Michael's (7:00). The River Hawks cap the season Saturday, Oct. 27 at Southern Connecticut (2:00).
