Junior sprinter Evan White (Tewksbury, Mass.) was named UMass Lowell’s Northwestern Mutual Athlete of the Week Tuesday after leading the men’s track and field team at the George Davis Invitational at UMass Lowell on Saturday afternoon.

    Also named the Northeast-10 Conference Men’s Track Athlete of the Week, White won both the 100 meter dash and ran the anchor leg for the 4X400 meter relay team.

    White ran the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.62 seconds and the last leg of the 4x400 meter relay team that finished with a time of 3.14.18.

    White is the son of the late Geraldine White of Tewksbury, Mass. and Randy White of Stoughton, Mass.
