LOWELL, Mass. - UMass Lowell field hockey junior forward Madison Leeper has been named River Hawk of the week. 
 
Leeper paced the River Hawks with three goals across two games last week. The forward first registered both tallies in a 2-0 victory against Stonehill at home on September 13 before adding her team’s first goal of the contest at Massachusetts on Sept. 15.
 
So far in 2024, Leeper boasts a team-best four goals and is ranked third on the squad with eight points. 
 
The "River Hawk of the Week" is chosen in voting by the UMass Lowell Athletic Communications staff. It honors the top athlete, male or female, based on performance during the previous week of competition.
 
Leeper and the River Hawks are back in action on Sunday, Sept. 22 when they host Wake Forest at 12 p.m.
