Matthew Harry

Matthew Harry rejoined the River Hawks staff as a volunteer assistant in 2021, after previously serving as a full-time assistant for the team in 2014 and 2015.
 
Under Harry’s guidance in 2014, River Hawk goalies carried at 1.94 Goals Against Average down, nearly a goal-a-game, from the previous year’s 2.88.  The team’s goalkeepers had a .703 Save Percentage and three shutouts in their second year competing as a Division I program.
 
Before UMass Lowell, Matthew was an executive director at the NHSportsplex where he ran all soccer programs from youth to adult hosting various camps and clinics as well as leagues.  During this time he coached for various clubs and teams he took his Londonderry Premier team to the NH state finals, he also has worked with Milford and Souhegan High schools in New Hampshire.
 
Matthew grew up in Nuneaton, England and is a 2003 graduate of North Warwickshire and Hinckley College.  Following graduation, Harry moved to America as an academy coach for Fulham Football Club where he directed individual and local team soccer programs.  He spent several years traveling the US with Fulham until he settled down in New England.
 
Matthew holds a USSF "D" license, as well as NSCAA Goalkeeping Level 1 & 2 Certificates.
