Christina Maciel

Christina Maciel joined the River Hawks as an Assistant Coach in 2015.

She is involved in day-to-day coaching duties and plays a major role in recruiting, travel, academic oversight and growing the camps/clinics arm of the program.

Maciel, a 2004 graduate of Bryant University, joins the River Hawk staff after serving as an asistant coach at Bryant since 2007, a period that included the school's transition from Division II to Division I. The fact that Maciel was part of Bryant's transition was not lost on Bancroft.

She worked as an assistant coach at Bryant for an eight-year period during which the program went through its divisional transition and put together a winning 2012 season.  Her responsibilities were wide ranging including game management, training, audio-visual management, alumni relations and recruiting.  Prior to that Maciel spent two years as the head women's soccer coach at Dean College.

Maciel, a Townsend, Mass. native, has established a name for herself in both the club and Olympic Development programs in Rhode Island. She has spent more than a decade working with RI ODP, serving as the Director of Coaching for the past 6 years.

She holds a USSF "D" license, a NSCAA National Certificate and a NSCAA Goalkeeping Certificate.

Maciel currently resides in Riverside, RI with her husband, Michael, and their two children, Mary-Kate and Gabriel.
