Williams joined the UMass Lowell Athletic Healthcare staff in October 2016 as an Associate Athletic Trainer and was named the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine and Performance in August 2021. Williams is the Athletics Healthcare Administrator and oversees 7 certified athletic trainers, athletics mental health counselor and dietitian. Prior to taking over the UML Athletic Healthcare department, Williams was responsible for the healthcare of the women’s basketball program and now serves as the certified athletic trainer for the field hockey and track & field teams. 
Since joining UML, Williams has spearheaded the department’s mental health initiatives as a key member of the Mental Health Interdisciplinary Team and has continued to foster the growth of the holistic approach to student athlete healthcare.

Prior to arriving at UMass Lowell, Williams served as an Associate Athletic Trainer at the University of Detroit Mercy from 2011-2016, where she was primarily responsible for the care of the women’s basketball, men’s soccer and softball programs.  She was responsible for scheduling the Sports Medicine staff, as well as all team physicians clinics and game coverage. She contributed to the development of the Athletic Department-wide strategy by serving as a member of the Strategic Planning Team for Revenue.
 
Prior to Detroit Mercy, Williams was an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan from 2009-2011. At Oakland, Williams worked with the women’s soccer, softball, and indoor track and field programs.  She was also a member of University’s Healthy Eating and Living Support (HEALS) team.
 
Williams received her Master's Degree from Ball State University in Sports Administration in 2009. While at Ball State, she was responsible for the care of the women’s field hockey, and men's and women's swimming and diving teams as a graduate assistant athletic trainer and was an approved clinical instructor for the undergraduate Athletic Training Program.

A graduate of Grand Valley State University, she received her Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training in 2007.  She is also a licensed massage therapist.
