Kerry Cashman

Kerry Cashman joins the River Hawks after a season as the Director of Operations for the University of New Hampshire’s women’s basketball team. As the Director of Operations, Cashman was primarily responsible for all film exchange, team travel, continued development of alumni and the friends of women’s basketball group and all other administrative duties.  Cashman also served as the community service and life skills liaison.
 
"Having played and coached in the America East, I'm very excited to join the coaching staff at UMass Lowell as we transition into this great athletic and academic conference,” said Cashman. “I am confident that we can be successful and look forward to building a winning tradition".
 
In 2011, Cashman was named the assistant coach at Lesley University. There, she was responsible for creation and execution of practice plans as well as the development of post players.
 
Cashman is a 2011 graduate of Boston University where she was a four-year player for the women’s basketball team.  She was a two-year captain for the Terriers and during her senior season broke out for a phenomenal season in which she averaged 7.5 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game. That same season, Cashman was named to the America East All-Conference Third Team as she ranked third in the conference in rebounding and second in blocks.
 
For her career, Cashman scored 466 points, pulled down 496 rebounds, tallied 97 blocks and a compiled a .483 field goal percentage.
 
In her four years at BU, the Terriers made two WNIT appearances, were the America East runner-ups twice and won the regular season championship in 2009.
 
Cashman played her high school basketball for Exeter High School where she was a nominee for the McDonald’s All-American Team. In her senior season, Cashman averaged 16.5 points and 10.8 rebounds to go along with 3.1 blocks per game. That same year, she was a co-captain, was named to the All-State First Team and was named the MVP by the Exeter Newsletter. In addition to her decorated basketball career, Cashman was a three-year starter for the Exeter High School volleyball team.
 
Cashman graduated from Boston University with a B.S. in Hospitality Administration.
