Julie Plant comes to Lowell after spending the past four years as the head coach at Saint Anselm College, posting a 61-49 record, including a NCAA Tournament birth in 2016, the program's first in 17 years.

While in Manchester, Plant coordinated the recruitment of a NE-10 Rookie of the Year, All-Conference First Team and Second Team selections and numerous NE-10 All-Rookie Team honorees. The 2016-17 squad finished 19-10, the most wins since 1999.

Prior to Saint Anselm, Plant spent eight years at Regis College, serving as both the women's basketball head coach (2005-13) and Senior Women's Administrator (2010-2013). She began her coaching career as an assistant coach at Rhode Island after spending three years as an advance scout the New York Liberty of the WNBA from 2002-2005.

Plant earned her masters of science in general education from Elmira College after graduating from Southern Maine with a bachelor's degree in communication and education minor in 2000.
