Chanté Bonds

Chanté Bonds joined the UMass Lowell women's basketball staff in August of 2014. She comes equipped with seven years of experience as an assistant coach, serving three years at Fairleigh Dickinson University (2007-2010) and four at Holy Cross (2010-2014).

At Holy Cross she helped recruit and develop Patriot League All-Conference First Team member Alex Smith and Second Team selection Raquel Scott. She was also in charge of organizing and presenting scouting reports, and recruiting throughout the east coast and Canada.

While her responsibilities with the Knights included overseeing the strength and conditioning program and developing innovative drills for guards, Bonds also worked toward her master’s degree. She graduated with her degree in administrative science in 2010.

Bonds graduated with her bachelor’s degree from Bentley University in 2005 where she was a two-year captain on the women’s basketball team and member of the 2003 Final Four squad. She was also named the 2005 NE-10 Defensive Player of the Year and was named a finalist for the V Foundation Comeback Award.
