Heather Ross enters her third year on the staff at UMass Lowell in 2015-16 and her second as an assistant coach. She will continue to work on infield development, in addition to assisting with hitting.
Ross joined her alma mater as a volunteer assistant coach in 2013-14, working with the River Hawks’ hitting, corner infielders and outfielders.

Prior to returning to UMass Lowell, Ross was an assistant coach at Emmanuel College during the previous two seasons. She served as the Saints’ hitting, infield and catching coach. Ross has also served as the general manager of Nor’Easters Baseball/Softball at Extra Innings in Tewksbury, Mass., as well as the director of Nor’Easters Softball.

Ross had 144 hits (46 extra-base) and 67 RBI during her UMass Lowell career. In her five years, the River Hawks made the Northeast-10 Tournament four times.
The Waltham, Mass. native graduated from UMass in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and in 2013 with a master's degree.
