Entering his 15th year on the UMass Lowell staff, 2002 graduate Kazeem Dayo Ibraheem is responsible for the River Hawk hurdlers and jumpers.
Despite the move to Division I, Ibraheem’s UMass Lowell hurdlers have continued to score points at the conference championships. Elisabeth Monty was the top individual scorer at the 2014 Indoor championships and Cameron Mitchell nearly grabbed the same honor at the 2015 outdoor championships. Both earned All-East honors at the 2015 ECAC/IC4A Outdoor Championships.
In 14 seasons, Ibraheem has helped guide 23 UMass Lowell athletes to qualify for the NCAA Championship, three of whom achieved All-American honors in 2006, including Toni-Marie Henry (triple jump), Esia Johnson (long jump) and Julie Handy (60 meter hurdles).
Ibraheem has helped River Hawk jumpers and hurdlers meet success particularly over the last five years: In 2011, senior Donte Brown earned All-American honors at the NCAA outdoor championship, at which he placed third in the 400 meter hurdles (52.47). Additionally, junior Elisabeth Monty captured All-American status in the indoor 60 meter hurdles and the outdoor 400 hurdles; while senior Antoinette Toussaint earned All-America in both the pentathlon and outdoor 400 meter hurdles.
In 2013, Ibraheem was named the East Region Assistant Women's Coach of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

A four-year member of the track and field team, (1998-2002), Ibraheem qualified for the New England indoor and outdoor championships his final three years in the hurdles, jumps and pentathlon. He also serves on UMass Lowell's Athletic Hall of Fame committee.
A 1996 graduate of Methuen H.S., Ibraheem is currently a solutions supervisor for United Parcel Service (UPS).
