He also took on the role of evaluating players' talent at tryouts, helping make decisions as to which players would best fit the team. He has also served as a coach at New Fairfield High School since 2020 and was a New Fairfield Lacrosse Camp Coordinator and Coach for just over a year.
Before becoming a full-time coach, Tenaglia was a four-year member of the Syracuse University men's lacrosse team and was named a team captain for the 2024 season. As a member of the Orange, he was named to the Dean's List six times, ACC Academic Honor Roll four times, and was a nominee for the 2024 Doris Soladay Award, Syracuse athletics' highest honor that is presented to male and female student-athletes, recognizing the student-athlete for their academic success, athletic accomplishments, leadership, and community engagement.
