Before UMass Lowell
Played forward for the Sioux City Musketeers of the USHL... Scored 5 points on one goal and four assists due to an injury shortened season in 2008-09... Selected as a Second Team EJHL All-Star in 2008... Named the 2008 EJHL All-Star Game MVP... Had 60 points on 22 goals and 38 assists for the Huskies in the EJHL in 2007-08.

Joseph Edward Caveney was born on July 5, 1988 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts... Shoots right... One of four children of Kim and Edward Caveney... Considers playing in the Quebec Peewee Tournament finals in front of 12,000 people at age 11 as his greatest sports moment... Admires Lance Armstrong for his perseverance and LeBron James for his athletic ability... A fan of the Boston Red Sox... Chose UMass Lowell because the combination of an outstanding Division I hockey team and a great academic program was impossible to turn down... He hopes to graduate with a business degree and make a living playing hockey.
