Biography

AS A JUNIOR (2024): Made 54 starts…Hit .290 in 221 at bats…Tallied 46 runs, 64 hits, 16 doubles and led the team with nine homers…Totaled 59 RBI, drew 19 walks and stole 16 bases with a .484 slugging percentage…Recorded season-high four hits, five RBI and two home runs at Penn State (3/14)…Registered a career-high nine putouts at Binghamton (4/7)…Named to the 2024 America East All-Conference Second Team.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2023): Made 52 appearances with 45 starts…Totaled 32 runs, 48 hits, 37 RBI and 69 total bases in 175 at bats…Recorded six doubles, three triples and three home runs…Had a seven-game hit streak and back-to-back four-hit outings against Bryant (4.7 & 4.8) …Tallied a career-high five hits (5.18) and six putouts (5.20) in a weekend series against Binghamton.

AS A FRESHMAN (2022): Saw action in 47 games and made 37 starts…Had a .233 batting average and a .323 slugging percentage…Recorded 31 hits and tallied 15 RBI…Scored 27 runs, drew 19 walks, and stole six bases with a .360 on base percentage…Hit his first collegiate home run in a game against NJIT (5.27).

HIGHLIGHTS: Member of the baseball, basketball and football teams at Hopedale Sr. High School … during his senior year he was named Metro West Daily News Male Athlete of the Year as well as Metro West Daily News baseball and basketball all-star … team captain for both baseball and basketball his senior year ... MIAA Division IV State Champion in basketball his junior year.
 
PERSONAL: Son to Christine and Derek Luccini of Hopedale, Mass. … has one sibling (Noah) … names That 70s Show, Hawaii 5-O, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia as his favorite TV shows … says his greatest sports moment was winning the state championship in basketball his junior year … he chose to attend UMass Lowell as it gave him the opportunity to continue playing baseball while also being close to home so that his parents can come see the games.
