Bob Gamache has been serving as the Faculty Athletic Representative since 2003.
Gamache is also the Dean of the University of Massachusetts School of Marine Sciences. He has spent the last 31 years, his entire professional career, with UMass Lowell.
As the Faculty Athletic Reprehensive, Gamache oversees student-athlete welfare, the academic integrity of athletics, acts as a liaison to the faculty, and maintains institutional control.
Before joining UMass Lowell, Gamache obtained a B.S. in Chemistry from Southeastern Massachusetts University, which later became UMass Dartmouth. He also has a M.S. in Atomic and Molecular Physics from UMass Amherst and a Ph.D. in the area of Chemical Physics from UMass Amherst.
Gamache resides in Dunstable with his wife Suzanne. They have two children, Jussi, 37, and Peter, 30.
