HERENDA ON JOHNSON: [quote]Marcus will again be asked to defend and rebound from the 2 guard position and he can really pass the ball. He is extremely athletic and can help us on both sides of the ball. He is a player that plays his best in the open court and has a nose for the basket. He finishes very well at the rim and has worked hard on improving his jump shot, as well.[quote] AS A SOPHOMORE: Saw action in 27 games during the year • Averaged 2.7 points in 10.8 minutes per game • Notched a season-best eight points at both Southern Connecticut (Jan. 30) and Assumption (Jan. 6), while he also dished five assists at Assumption. AS A FRESHMAN: One of only two River Hawks to see action in all 29 games • Made his first collegiate start against Bloomfield on Dec. 29 at the Pace Tournament • Scored a season-high 18 points in an 83-47 victory over St. Michael[apos]s • Tallied a season-best five assists in a 77-72 win over Merrimack. ST.
