Kevin Barnaby enters his third season after joining the UMass Lowell coaching staff in the summer of 2013. He has worked with River Hawk outfielders, organized summer camps and has been responsible for the program’s community outreach efforts.
Barnaby began his college coaching career as an assistant coach at Fitchburg State University where he worked with infielders and served as the team’s hitting coach.
Looking to further his coaching experience, Barnaby joined the staff of the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League in the summer of 2013.
For the previous eight summers, Barnaby coached the Leominster Legion Program. Last year he served as their head coach and led it to a 26-12 record.
Barnaby played two years of collegiate baseball at Worcester State University, advancing to the NCAA Regional in his sophomore year. Prior to playing for Worcester State, he played four years of varsity baseball for Hall of Fame coach Emile Johnson at Leominster High School.
Barnaby currently resides in Westminster, Mass.
