Brad Cook

Cook enters his fourth season as Pitching Coach at UMass Lowell.  In 2019, Cook helped mentor Nick Rand a 1st Team America East selection and freshmen Josh Becker was named to the All-Rookie team.
 
Cook came to the Mill City after eight years as the Pitching Coach at Polk State (FL) of the NJCAA Division I. Behind Cook's tutelage, the Eagles posted a 306-123 record, and the pitchers led the nation in ERA three times.
The former junior college product saw 35 of his players move on to four-year programs, including 19 who signed NCAA Division I scholarships. Between his time at Polk and Florida Southern College, Cook saw 11 players selected in the MLB Draft including former MLB pitchers Alec Asher (Phillies) and Gus Schlosser (Rockies).
 
At Keystone, he earned All-America Honors (’00).  After two years at Keystone, Cook went on to play two seasons at Marist and won back-to-back MAAC Championships with the Red Foxes being named to the MAAC All-Tournament team in 2002.  In 2004, he graduated from Marist with his BA in Special Education.
 
Following his time at Marist, Cook went on to play for the Elmira Pioneers of the Can-Am League in 2002 and 2004, before returning to coach at his Alma Mater Johnson City HS (NY), leading the Wildcats to a NYSPHAA Class A State-Runner in 2007.
 
In 2007, the Johnson City, N.Y. native earned his MS in Mathematics Education from Walden University.  Cook resides with his wife Sarah and sons Broderick (8) and Dreux (5).
