Biography

AS A SENIOR: Appeared in 46 games with 45 starts • Had a .294 batting average including hitting four home runs, one triples and 14 doubles • Had 32 RBI and was 13-for-15 in stolen bases • Highlights include a 3-for-6 effort with four RBI, three runs and a home run in a 17-1 win over Mansfield (3/3) • Also went 2-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored in a 10-3 win over Saint Michael's (4/21).  
 
AS A JUNIOR: Started all 51 games for the River Hawks • Batted .300 (60-for-200) with 23 RBI and 35 runs scored • Had nine doubles, two triples, and two home runs • Highlights include a 4-for-5 showing with four RBI, two doubles, and a run scored in a win over Caldwell (8-0) • Also tallied a 3-for-4 effort with four RBI and two runs in a win over Saint Anselm (12-2).

AS A SOPHOMORE: Played in 34 games, with 31 starts for the River Hawks • Had a .223 batting average including hitting two home runs, two triples and five doubles • Had 16 RBI and was 1-for-1 in stolen bases.

AS A FRESHMAN: Appeared in 10 games (four starts) for the River Hawks • Batted just .200, but worked the plate to earn a .360 on-base percentage • Highlights include a 1-for-2 effort with an RBI, run and walk in a win over C.W. Post (16-0) • Also tallied two hits and a stolen base in a loss to Assumption (11-4).

HOPKINTON H.S: Four-year player at Hopkinton H.S. for coach Mark Stickney • Two-time Tri-Valley League first team all-star • Also earned all-star billing from the Milford Daily News • Captain as a senior • Shares the school record for career home runs (15) • Three-sport athlete, also a member of the football and basketball teams • Two-time Tri-Valley League all-star in football • Set the school record for longest field goal (48 yards) • Also served as a Special Olympics basketball coach for four years, Hopkinton H.S. mentoring program • Also played for Legion Post 59.

PERSONAL: One of four children of Mitchell and Louise Sanborn of Hopkinton, MA • Nicknamed "Marky" • Lists Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics and Dallas Cowboys as favorite professional teams • Aspires to pursue a career in business and to coach at the high school level.
