Biography

CAREER: Started in 46 games for the River Hawks in her three years, making her collegiate debut and registering her first career shutout against Bryant (3/4/21) … set the DI program record with four shutouts her freshman year, and broke the record again her sophomore year with five shutouts … named to the 2021 and 2022 America East All-Academic Team … named to the 2020 NFHCA Division I National Academic team…four-time America East Defensive Player of the Week (week of 3/9/21, week of 4/6/21, week of 4/13/21, week on 9/7/22)…two-time America East Rookie of the Week (Week of 3/30/21, week of 4/19/21)…named to the America East All-Conference First Team and All-Rookie Team…named the America East Goalkeeper of the Year, marking the first time a River Hawk has garnered a major award since joining the conference and elevating to Division I in 2013…named to the 2020 NFHCA Northeast Region First Team.
 
AS A JUNIOR (2022): Started in 18 games for the River Hawks …finished the season with a 12-6 record, including three shutouts …  recorded 74 saves for a .733 save percentage … recorded a season-high 11 saves at Harvard (10/9) … named to the America East All-Academic team … tabbed America East Defensive Player of the Week (9/7).
 
AS A SOPHOMORE (2021): Started in net in all 16 games for the River Hawks … recorded a DI program record five shutouts … recorded 79 saves with a save percentage of .823 … named to the America East All-Academic Team.

AS A FRESHMAN (2020): Started in all 12 games for the River Hawks this year, making her collegiate debut and registering her first career shutout against Bryant (3/4)…Finished her rookie campaign with a 7-5 record, including four shutouts… Made a season-high 15 saves in the River Hawks 2-1 win over Vermont (3/31)…Set a new DI program record with four shutouts in one season… Third all-time in Division I program history with 15 saves in a single game…Her seven wins tied for second on the Division I program single-season wins list…Named to the 2020 NFHCA Division I National Academic team…Three-time America East Defensive Player of the Week (week of 3/9, week of 4/6, week of 4/13)…Two-time America East Rookie of the Week (Week of 3/30, week of 4/19)…Named to the America East All-Conference First Team and All-Rookie Team…Named the America East Goalkeeper of the Year, marking the first time a River Hawk has garnered a major award since joining the conference and elevating to Division I in 2013…Named to the 2020 NFHCA Northeast Region First Team.

HIGH SCHOOL: Helped lead her team to the Netherlands U18 National Indoor Championship as a senior … also finished second in the U18 Netherlands Outdoor Field Hockey Championship … as a junior, earned a Super A Championship and a third place finish in the U18 National Indoor Championship … competed with the Netherlands National U16 team as a freshman and sophomore … also participated in rowing.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Robert and Andrea Boekhorst … has one older sister (Katharina) … hobbies include playing the violin and guitar, and rowing … lists Brooklyn 99 and Friends as her favorite TV shows … names Juventus as her favorite professional sports team, and De Ligt and Frankie de Jongh as her favorite sports figures … can speak three languages … chose to attend UMass Lowell because she felt welcomed by the team and coaches … majoring in liberal arts.
