2017-18

Indoor Track
Once again took home 1^st place at the 32^nd Brown University Alden Invitational with a 60 meter time of 6.84… Finished 1^st at the Beantown Challenge in the 60 meter with a time of 6.81, a personal best… In the long jump at the Boston University Multi Team Meet he placed 3^rd with his long jump mark of 21’ 0”, a personal best… With a time of 6.89 in the 60 meter he earned 1^st place at the Brown University Invitational… Placed 2^nd in the 60 meter at the America East Indoor Track & Field Championships with a 60 meter time of 6.88… Set a personal best time in the 200 meter of 21.70 at the America East Indoor Track & Field Championships, earning him 4^th place…

Outdoor Track
O’Brien ran a 11.00 in the 100 meter at the UMass Lowell Invitational earning him 1^st place… At the Ocean State Invitational he also placed 1^st in the 100 meter but with an even better time of 10.80… Finished 1^st at the 2018 Dartmouth Outdoor Invitational in the 100 meter with a time of 10.78… Continued to improve in the 100 meter and with a time of 10.64 he finished 1^st at the Goerge Davis Invitational…

Indoor Track
At the 31^st Brown University Alden Invitational he placed 2^nd in the 60 meter with a time of 6.97… Finished 2^nd in the 60 meter at the 2017 Dartmouth Relays with a time of 6.92… Netted 1^st place at the Dartmouth Indoor Classic with a time of 7.02 in the 60 meter… He placed 5^th in the 60 meter at the America East Indoor Track & Field Championships with a time of 7.04…

Outdoor Track
He ran a 10.81 in the 100 meter at the UNH April 8^th Meet, finishing in 1^st place… At the same event he placed 2^nd in the 200 meter with a time of 22.33… Finished 2^nd in the 100 meter at the George Davis Invitational with a time of 10.97… Placed 1^st at the UMass Pre-Conference Meet with a 100 meter time of 10.85… At the America East Outdoor Championships in the 100 meter he placed 4^th with a time of 10.63… Earned 2^nd at the NEICAAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships with a 100 meter time of 10.75…

Indoor Track
At the 30th Brown University Alden Invitational he finished in 1^st place for the 60M, with a time of 7.01... After that he had a personal best in the 200M at the 2015 Jay Carisella Track & Field Invitational of 22.22, finishing in 2^nd place... At the 2015 Jay Carisella Track & Field Invitational he had another 1^st place finish in the 60M, this time with a time of 6.91, a personal best... He had a 12^th place finish at the 2016 America East Indoor Championships for his 7.06 time in the 60M... At the 48th NEICAAA Indoor Track & Field Championships he finished the 60M in 7.15 and received 20^th place... Then a the 2016 IC4A/ECAC Indoor Track and Field Championships he finished in 19^th with a time of 7.01 in the 60M...

Outdoor Track
His first outdoor event, the 100M at the UMass Lowell Invitational, went well for him as he finished in 1^st place with a time of 11.05, a personal best...

Woburn Memorial High School: Div. II State champion in the pentathlon… Boston Globe and Herald all scholastic for the pentathlon… Captain of Outdoor and Indoor track as well as Captain of football team… Team Defensive Player of the Year in Football…Holds school record for sacks in a season, reception in a game and receptions in a season…Member of National Honor society maintaining 4.1 GPA

Personal: Son of Edward and Tina Peary of Woburn, Mass… One younger brother, and two older brothers…Oldest brother, Eric ran Track at UMass Lowell (2008-2012)… Lists Prison Break, Lost, and Impractical Jokers as his favorite TV shows… Names Patriots as his favorite sports team with Tom Brady named as his favorite athlete… Chose UMass Lowell because of excellent mechanical engineering program, and for the opportunity to run division I track… Hopes to work as an engineer in robotics after his time at UMass Lowell.
