AS A JUNIOR: Started all 23 games in goal for the River Hawks • Led the NE-10 with an overall 0.93 GAA and was fourth with a .753 save percentage • Fished with an 19-4 record with seven shutouts • Named NE-10 Goalkeeper of the Week on Sept. 5.
AS A SOPHOMORE: Started all 23 games in net • Earned a 1.19 GAA and tallied a .757 save percentage on the year • Amassed a 19-4-0 record with six shutouts.
AS A FRESHMAN: Named 2010 Longstreth/NFHCA DII Second Team All-American • Named Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Year • Earned a spot on the NE-10 All-Conference First Team and All-Rookie Team • Tabbed to the NFHCA National All-Academic Squad • Named to the NCAA All-Tournament team for allowing just one goal in two games at National Tournament, including a shutout in the NCAA Title Game • Named NE-10 Goalkeeper of the Week five times during the 10-week season and NE-10 Rookie of the week three times • Broke the program record for consecutive shutout minutes (606:48) and consecutive shutouts (8) • Broke NCAA DII record for most shutouts in a season (16) and wins (24), with the latter ranking second all-time in NCAA collegiate history • One of only four DII goalkeepers and nine collegiate goalkeepers to have a perfect winning percentage for a season • Hopkins' 0.35 GAA ranks fourth all-time in DII history • Finished the year with starts in all 24 of the River Hawks games, allowing just eight goals on 90 shots for a .911 save percentage • Amassed a 0.35 GAA and 24-0 record with 16 shutouts on the year.
HARWICH HIGH SCHOOL: Played for years of varsity field hockey for Coach Cheryl Poore at Harwich High School • Four-time South Shore League All-Star and SSL Rookie of the Year • Boston Globe and Boston Herald All-Scholastic Award winner • MVP for Cape Cod Classic and Harwich FH Defensive MVP in 2009 • Also played four years of varsity ice hockey and softball • Member of the National Honor Society and Harwich High School Chorus and Select Choir • High Honor Roll student at HHS.
PERSONAL: One of two children of Julie Ann Hopkins of Harwich and John Hopkins, Sr. of Wakefield, Mass. • Biology major with plans to become a Veterinarian.
