LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell men's and women's cross country teams have unveiled the 2026 schedule. The River Hawks will open the season on Saturday, Sept. 5, at the Vermont Invitational at Hard'ack Recreation Area in St. Albans, Vt.

Following the opener in Vermont, the River Hawks will head south to the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Robert Dowd Course in North Dartmouth, Mass.

After a week of training, UMass Lowell will return to competition on Friday, Oct. 2, at the Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa.

The following week, the River Hawks will travel to Hopkinton State Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, N.H. for the New England Championships on Friday, Oct. 9, providing an early-season look at a key regional championship course.

The team then heads to Terre Haute, Ind., for NCAA Pre-Nationals on Friday, Oct. 16, hosted at Indiana State University. The next day, Saturday, Oct. 17, UMass Lowell will also compete at a pre-conference meet hosted by UAlbany in Albany, N.Y.

After a week of recovery, the River Hawks return to Connecticut for the CCSU Mini-Meet on Friday, Oct. 23, at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain, Conn.

Championship season begins Friday, Oct. 30, when UMass Lowell competes at the America East Championships, hosted by UAlbany.

The NCAA Northeast Regional will take place on Friday, Nov. 13, hosted by Hofstra University at Bethpage State Park in Bethpage, N.Y., followed by the NCAA Championships on Saturday, Nov. 22, hosted at Indiana State University.
