LOWELL, Mass. - UMass Lowell Field Hockey Head Coach
Shannon LeBlanc has unveiled her squad's complete schedule for the 2026 season. The new campaign begins on Friday, August 28 at ACC foe Stanford at 7 p.m.

After finishing 3-2 in America East play last fall and earning the right to host a conference quarterfinal matchup, the River Hawks will look to continue building against another demanding slate of opponents. The challenging 2026 campaign features 17 total games, including eight at home and four contests against opponents who appeared in the 2025 NCAA Tournament field.

Following the opener against the Cardinal, UMass Lowell stays on the west coast to visit another former conference mate in UC Davis on Aug. 30.

For the first time ever in the 25-year LeBlanc era, the River Hawks will start the season with four straight road games, as the team travels to Harvard on September 4 and heads to Massachusetts on Sept. 6.

The River Hawks play their 2026 home opener against New Haven on Sept. 11 before hosting local rival Merrimack on Sept. 13. A trip to Syracuse then awaits UMass Lowell on Sept. 18, as the River Hawks take on their second Power Four opponent of the season.

The squad returns home for three straight games, beginning with Alumni Day festivities against Stonehill on Sept. 20. A matchup against Brown on Sept. 27 follows before the team opens America East Conference action at home against Bryant on October 2.

The month of October continues with a quick trip to Providence on Oct. 4 before the River Hawks resume conference play at Vermont on Oct. 9. UMass Lowell then hosts Sacred Heart on Oct. 11 before trekking to New Hampshire for a league matchup on Oct. 16.

The team's final non-conference game of the regular season will be Senior Day when the squad hosts Dartmouth on Oct. 18. The River Hawks close out the regular season with two more league contests, welcoming Maine to Wicked Blue Field on Oct. 23 and traveling to UAlbany on Oct. 29.

The America East Championship will follow with contests in each round being played at the higher seed. Teams will square off in quarterfinal matchups on November 1, followed by the semifinals on Nov. 3 and title game on Nov. 6.
