5/14/2026 1:00:00 PM

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Following a dominant 2026 campaign in the circle, junior Olivia DeCitise (Troy, N.Y.) has been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Northeast Region Third Team, as announced by the organization on Thursday afternoon.

DeCitise was one of four America East student-athletes to earn All-Region recognition this season after putting together one of the conference's top pitching performances from start to finish.

The junior ace led the America East in earned run average (2.89), innings pitched (169.2), strikeouts (177), strikeouts looking (51), wins (18) and saves (2), while ranking third in opposing batting average (.217). She finished the season with an 18-11 record across 35 appearances and 23 starts, adding 17 complete games and one shutout.

DeCitise's 177 strikeouts ranked nearly 50 ahead of the next closest pitcher in the conference, while her workload in the circle paced the league by more than 50 innings. She allowed just 70 earned runs all season and held opponents to 136 hits across nearly 170 innings of work.

Among her standout performances this spring was a perfect game against Merrimack on March 25, where she retired all 21 batters faced and struck out 11 in a 6-0 victory. The outing marked the program's first perfect game since 2019 and the first by an America East pitcher since 2023. She also reached both the 200 and 300 career strikeout milestones during the season.

DeCitise earned four America East Pitcher of the Week honors throughout the year and was named to the America East All-Conference First Team and All-Academic Team following the season.

The NFCA All-Region awards honor softball student-athletes from the association's 10 regions with first, second and third team selections. NFCA member head coaches from each respective region nominated student-athletes and voted on the teams. All honorees are now eligible for selection to the NFCA Division I All-America teams.
