LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell men's track and field team capped off another historic season on Sunday, completing a conference championship season sweep for just the second time in program history and the first since 2023 after winning the 2026 America East men's outdoor track and field title at home in Lowell. The victory marks the men's third outdoor championship in the last four seasons.
"This means a lot," said Head Coach
Gary Gardner. "It is really difficult to win one of these and to win back-to-back-to-back and complete the triple crown was not easy. Indoors, we squeaked out by a few points, and we had a few things go our way, especially yesterday, and today we just held our own. Yesterday, I thought we were exceptional and today I thought we were very good, but we set ourselves up yesterday to be successful today and we delivered. I am super proud of those kids."
UMass Lowell totaled 166.5 points throughout the weekend, beating out UAlbany, who finished second with 140 points. UMBC finished third as a team with 137 points.
The 4x100m relay kicked off day two, and the team of sophomore
