BOSTON – Following the conclusion of the 2026 season, the UMass Lowell men's lacrosse team had three River Hawks tabbed with All-Conference honors, as announced by the conference on Wednesday afternoon.
Following impressive seasons, juniors
Johnny Soi (Kerhonkson, N.Y.) and
Justin Alexander (Franklin, Mass.) were named to the America East All-Conference Second Team, while freshman
Ryan Proctor (Uxbridge, Ontario) was selected to the conference's All-Rookie Team.
"Juice (Justin) and Johnny are both really hard workers who are helping drive the team," commented Head Coach
Drew Kelleher. "I'm so proud of them being honored by the league, and I can't wait to get back to work with them next fall. Ryan has done a great job in his first year here, and we're excited to watch him grow."
In year three, Soi continued to be an offensive threat for the River Hawks, ranking third on the squad with 15 goals and 19 points. Early in the season, he posted one of the best games of his career, scoring three goals while adding a pair of assists for a career-high five points, helping lead the team to a dominant, 16-7 victory over Wagner. Alongside his stellar work on the offensive end, he also added eight ground balls and a caused turnover in his 11 starts.
In only his second season as the primary faceoff taker for the River Hawks, Alexander proved to be not only one of the best in the America East, but in the nation. In 12 games, the junior posted a 61.2-win percentage, ranking 11
th in the country, while also averaging 8.00 ground balls per game to sit fifth nationally. Beyond his domination on the faceoff, he also contributed on the offensive end, adding his second career goal and two assists to his stat sheet.
Proctor, meanwhile, didn't take long to leave his mark on the program, tallying a goal and an assist in the team's first two games of the season. Finishing the year with 11 goals and three assists for 14 points, the sixth most on the team, the freshman's best performance came in conference play when he posted his first career hat trick alongside two ground balls at NJIT.
