LOWELL, Mass. – After scoring five points in a big conference victory over the weekend, freshman Brienne Brezynskie (Elmira, Ontario) has been named the America East Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.

In Saturday's contest at New Hampshire, Brezynskie finished with five points off four goals and an assist, while adding four draw controls.  Although the freshman had a big first half, completing the hat trick early in the second quarter, her biggest moment came at the end of the game, scoring the second-to-last goal for her squad before assisting on the final goal to seal the victory.

Brezynskie and the River Hawks are back in action this Saturday, April 25, when they host the Vermont Catamounts in the final game of the regular season. Opening draw is scheduled for 12 p.m. at Cushing Field.
