LOWELL, Mass. – Senior TJ Schwieghardt (Manahawkin, N.J.) of the UMass Lowell ice hockey team has signed with the Iowa Heartlanders, the ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, as announced by the organization on Tuesday, March 17.

The defenseman was a four-year anchor for the River Hawks' blue line, totaling 33 points on six goals and 27 helpers in 122 career games. He served as an alternate captain during his senior season, finishing with 17 points on four goals and 13 assists to lead all UMass Lowell defensemen.
