LOWELL, Mass. – After a standout performance in a road sweep at Vermont this past weekend, freshman
Nate Misskey (Melfort, SK) of the UMass Lowell ice hockey team (12-18-0, 8-12-0 Hockey East) has been named Hockey East Army ROTC Defender of the Week.
The 6'4", 212-lb defenseman shined on both ends of the ice throughout the series, scoring twice in Saturday's 5-2 victory and finishing the weekend with four blocked shots and a +4 rating. He now has eight points on the year on four goals and four assists, while ranking second on the team with 37 blocked shots in 30 games played.
This marks Misskey's second Hockey East weekly award of the season and first Army ROTC Defender of the Week honor, after previously being named Rookie of the Week on Jan. 19.
