BOSTON – With the 2026 campaign only a few weeks away, the UMass Lowell men's lacrosse team was picked to finish sixth in the America East Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the conference on Tuesday afternoon.
Defending champion UAlbany claimed the top spot in the poll, earning 36 points and all six possible first-place votes. Seven points behind the Great Danes, Bryant was selected second with 29 points, while Vermont rounded out the top three with 24 points. Right behind the Catamounts, UMBC earned 22 points, and Binghamton earned 19, with UMass Lowell next in the rankings.
This year's squad, which features 35 returners and 11 newcomers, is ready to compete and looks to take another jump forward this season. The new season kicks off on February 7 when the River Hawks host Quinnipiac at 11 a.m. at Cushing Field.
