WEEKLY AWARD WINNERS
After making 11 saves without allowing a goal in his first two collegiate appearances, Medrano was named the America East Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week in week two. Not only did the awards mark the first for UMass Lowell this season, but it is the first time a River Hawk has earned both awards in the same week.
FRESH FACES
Ten of the newest River Hawks have made at least three appearances so far this season, with six earning at least three starts. Five of the team's eight goals have come off the foot of a newcomer, while five newcomers have accumulated at least 400 minutes of playtime.
SCOUTING THE BLUE DEVILS
The Blue Devils enter Tuesday's match following a 2-1 loss to Binghamton on Tuesday afternoon. Leading the way offensively for Central Connecticut is Alvaro Moros, who has three points off a goal and an assist. Right behind him, Santiago Marin Gutierrez and Anthony Catanzaro both have tallied a goal. In goal, Grady Wilson and Cristian Torres have each made three starts, with Wilson leading the way with 19 saves.
SCOUTING BRYANT
Ahead of Sunday's match, the Bulldogs will visit UConn on Tuesday, September 23. Entering their match with the Huskies, Bryant is currently riding a seven-game winning streak while having not lost yet this season. They are led by Jaime Amaro, who currently has four goals and two assists for ten points, while Mamadi Jiana sits second with two goals and an assist. In net, Enzo Carvalho has made five starts with two goals allowed, while Ramon Camejo has allowed one goal in three starts.
