Looking at UMass Lowell
The River Hawks hosted Kansas State to begin last week, falling to the Wildcats 4-0 on Thursday night. Sophomore Rachel Welch (Franklin, Mass.) started in goal, recording five saves.
UMass Lowell followed Thursday's contest with a 0-0 draw on Sunday at Cushing Field, as the River Hawks went head-to-head with Kennedy Cup rival, Massachusetts. Welch put together a solid performance on Sunday, collecting three saves and posting the first shutout of her collegiate career while in goal.
