LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell men's cross country team has been selected first in the 2025 America East Cross Country Preseason Poll, while the women were selected fourth, as announced by the conference on Tuesday.
The men are coming off their fifth consecutive conference title, and totaled 64 points and all eight first place votes in the poll. Binghamton was selected second with 52 points, and Maine rounded out the top three with 50 points and a first place vote.
As for the women, they are looking to get back to their winning ways after finishing within the top three in each of the past two years. A win would give them four in the past six seasons, as they collected three consecutive wins from 2020-2022.
The squad earned 47 points and a first place vote for fourth in the poll, just shy of Binghamton in third with 48 points and a first place vote. Bryant was selected second with 50 points while last season's conference champion, New Hampshire, collected 62 points and six first place votes to sit atop the 2025 America East Women's Cross Country Preseason Poll.
The teams will kickoff the 2025 season on Saturday, August 30 at Vermont at Hard'Ack Recreation Area in St. Albans, Vt.
