EUGENE, Ore. – Graduate student James Kotowski (Stoneham, Mass.) finished fifth in the javelin at the 2025 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships Thursday afternoon at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. This finish comes after claiming eighth place at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships back in June on his way to First Team All-American honors.

Kotowski's first throw proved to be his best, coming in at 71.88m to qualify him for finals and ultimately slot him in fifth place overall for the event, surrounded by some of the top javelin throwers in the nation.
