River Hawks Unveil 2025 Schedule

6/26/2025 3:00:00 PM

LOWELL, Mass. – UMass Lowell Men's Soccer Head Coach Kyle Zenoni has announced his 2025 schedule. The River Hawks return to the pitch for a 16-game slate starting at home on Thursday, August 21, when they take on Saint Peter's at Cushing Field.

"I am excited about our 2025 schedule," said Zenoni. "We have NCAA tournament teams and out of region games to prepare us for conference play. I feel the schedule will challenge us in every way possible. We had a solid season last year and are ready to take another step forward this coming season."

Three days after the season opener, the River Hawks will welcome the defending NEC Champions, LIU, to Lowell for a match on August 24. UMass Lowell will then head south for a pair of first-time match ups against Houston Christian (Aug. 28) and the University of the Incarnate Word (Aug. 31), before wrapping up the road trip at Holy Cross (Sep. 6) to begin the month of September.

Finally returning to the friendly confines of Cushing Field, UMass Lowell hosts in-state rival Massachusetts on September 10, followed by a home game against Merrimack on September 16. The River Hawks close out the month with a three-game road trip, with match ups at Brown (Sep. 20) and CCSU (Sep. 23) before opening America East conference play at Bryant on September 27.

In October, UMass Lowell will take on only conference opponents, beginning with hosting Binghamton on October 4. The following weekend, the River Hawks head north to Burlington, where they will take on the defending national champion Vermont Catamounts (Oct. 11). The team will stay on the road to take on NJIT (Oct. 18), followed by the final homestand of the season with games against UMBC (Oct. 25) and New Hampshire (Oct. 31).

Looking to end the regular season on a high note, UMass Lowell will visit the UAlbany Great Danes on Tuesday, November 4, to wrap up the 16-game schedule. The America East playoffs will begin shortly afterwards, with the quarterfinals on Saturday, November 8. After the semifinals on Wednesday, November 12, the America East will crown a champion on Sunday, November 16.
