OSHAWA, ON. – Rising junior Jillian Goldie (Owen Sound, Ontario) has been named one of 22 athletes selected to play for the Canadian Women's Lacrosse National Team in the 2025 Pan-American Lacrosse Association (PALA) World Qualifier, as announced by the organization on Friday afternoon.

The PALA World Qualifier, which takes place June 26-30 at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex in Auburndale, Florida, features top teams from across the Americas as they compete to earn the regional qualifier for the 2026 World Lacrosse Women's Championship. Canada will take on Haudenosaunee, Jamaica, and Argentina in round robin action in the qualifier.

Goldie played a key role in helping Canada earn the silver medal in the 2024 World Lacrosse Women's U20 Championship, scoring five goals and adding three assists for eight points. This spring, Goldie dominated for the River Hawks, scoring 34 goals alongside 13 in only 12 games played, ranking third in the America East in points per game (3.92). One of the best players in the conference, Goldie scored a program-record nine points (6G, 3A) in the team's huge win over UMBC, before being named to the America East All-Conference First Team at the end of the season.
