LOWELL, Mass. – Graduate student midfielder
Garrett Murphy (Billerica, Mass.) of the UMass Lowell men's lacrosse team has been selected to the USILA 2025 Division I/II North/South Senior All-Star Game, as announced by the association on Thursday afternoon.
The game, which features 54 graduating student-athletes from both Division I and II, will be held on Friday, May 23, at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I., with the opening faceoff set for 6:30 p.m.
Murphy, who was selected to the America East All-Conference Second Team and All-Academic Team for the first time in his career, will wear #9 as a member of the North Team. Putting together a phenomenal season in his final year, the graduate student started in 12 of the team's 13 games, ranking second on the team in goals (19), assists (9), and points (32), all of which were also career highs. Although he scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 15-7 win over Mercyhurst, arguably the best game of Murphy's career came this season in the conference opener against Binghamton when he tallied a personal-best five goals and six points.
