LOWELL, Mass. – Senior
Isac Jonsson (Ängelholm, Sweden) of the UMass Lowell ice hockey team has signed with the Kansas City Mavericks, the ECHL affiliate of the Seattle Kraken, on an Amateur Tryout Contract (ATO), as announced by the organization on Wednesday, April 9.
This past season, the defenseman racked up 12 points on 2 goals and 10 assists in 35 games played for the River Hawks.
He concluded his successful career with 138 games played, scoring 10 goals with 41 assists for 51 total points, along with his +6 rating. He is also a four-time Hockey East Defender of the Week, winning the award twice during the 2022-23 season and twice during 2021-22.
Jonsson also shined in the classroom as a three-time Hockey East All-Academic Team honoree.
