LOWELL, Mass. – Following his performance in this past weekend's Raleigh Relays at NC State, graduate student James Kotowski (Stoneham, Mass.) of the men's outdoor track and field team has been named America East Track and Field Male Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference Tuesday afternoon.

He opened up the weekend for the River Hawks last Friday morning in the javelin, winning the event with a huge toss of 73.28m (240' 5"). 

This marks the sixth America East weekly award for Kotowski, who finished fifth last summer at the U.S. Olympic Trials.
