River Hawks Wrap Up the Season at Bryant and Binghamton

LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell women's basketball team (3-23, 1-13 AE) will play its final two games of the season on the road, first at Bryant (14-13, 7-7 AE) on Thursday, February 27 with tipoff set for 6 p.m. The River Hawks will then travel to Binghamton (14-14, 6-9 AE) for a matchup on Saturday, March 1 with tipoff scheduled for 2 p.m.

Last Time Out for the River Hawks
UMass Lowell most recently faced Vermont, falling, 57-35, to the Catamounts. Sophomore Abbey Lindsey (Staten Island, N.Y.) earned a team best of 18 points with four rebounds, one assist and one steal.

Scouting the Bulldogs
Bryant grabbed a 61-53 win over its most recent opponent, Vermont. Maranda Nyborg led the Bulldogs on 15 points, while Nia Scott posted a team high of 10 rebounds.

Mia Mancini is averaging 11.5 points per game and Scott averages 8.4 rebounds per game to lead Bryant. Mancini also has recorded 87 assists and 31 steals so far this season, with Ali Brigham totaling 28 blocks.

Yanniah Boyd is averaging 9.5 points per game and Bella Pucci is averaging 5.5 rebounds per game to lead Binghamton. Weltz and Pucci both have totaled 49 steals this season, with Weltz also notching 77 assists. Bennett wraps up the stat sheet with 27 blocks.

Redshirt-senior Sydney Watkins (Indianapolis, Ind.) has totaled 69 assists and 69 steals so far this season, while sophomore Rayne Durant (New Haven, Conn.) has recorded the most blocks with 27.

Watkins is ranked first for steals per game, averaging 2.8 to help the River Hawks rank second in the league with 8.35 steals a game. Durant is third for blocked shots, averaging 1.0 per game.
