BOSTON, Mass. – Following opening weekend, the UMass Lowell baseball team has garnered its first America East Weekly Award for 2025, as senior captain Brandon Fish (Londonderry, N.H.) was named Player of the Week by the conference on Tuesday afternoon. 
Fish posted two multi-hit efforts this weekend, finishing 6-for-9 (.667) at the plate in three games played to help propel the River Hawks to a 2-1 record. He also recorded four runs and three RBI, adding three doubles and one home run to his stat line. His overall slugging percentage was marked at 1.33%. Against Mercyhurst, the senior was perfect, going 3-for-3 at bat, posting a home run and a double, while logging one run and two RBI. In the game versus Ball State, he finished with three runs and one RBI on two hits. 
The infielder kickstarted the scoring in the team's two victories from the weekend, backed by a solo home run in the Mercyhurst game, and a RBI double for the first score in the Ball State matchup. 
The River Hawks will look ahead this week, as a weekend series against Appalachian State starts Friday, Feb 21, at 3 p.m. in Hickory, N.C. at L.P. Frans Stadium.
