LOWELL, Mass. - Coming off of a buy weekend, the UMass Lowell men's basketball team is prepped for two games this week, first hosting UAlbany on Thursday, February 13, at the Costello Athletic Center before trekking to New Hampshire on Saturday, February 15.

A WIN WOULD
A win against the Great Danes would move the River Hawks to 16-9 on the season and move the team to 5-5 in conference play. It would also improve the team's record to 13-2 a home this year.

LAST TIME OUT
Fifth year Yuri Covington (Wilkes-Barre, Pa.) scored a season-high 21 points, as the UMass Lowell men's basketball team (15-9, 4-5 AE) fell to the Binghamton Bearcats (12-12, 4-5 AE), 66-54, on Thursday evening. Covington, who led three double-digit scorers for the River Hawks, sank three triples on the night. Behind him, freshman Martin Somerville (Bowie, Md.) added 15 points while tallying a game-high four steals. Fifth year Quinton Mincey (Upper Marlboro, Md.) finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds, good for his fifth double-double of the season. Leading the team in rebounds, fifth year Max Brooks (Waldorf, Md.) tied his season high with 15 rebounds, while making seven blocks.

LEADING THE FLOCK
Four River Hawks are averaging double-digits, as Quinton Mincey leads the charge with 15.4 points per game. Behind him, Max Brooks adds 14.7 points per game alongside a team-best 8.4 rebounds and 64 blocks, while Martin Somerville boasts 13.8 points in his first season, including a team-high 56 three-pointers and 34 steals. Yuri Covington rounds things out with 11.6 points per game.

HOME SWEET HOME
Costello Athletic Center has been very kind to the home team during the last three seasons, as the River Hawks are currently 39-3 in the building since the start of the 2022-23 campaign, including 12-2 in 2024-25.

OUTLASTING THE COMPETITION
A resilient group, the River Hawks have found ways to pull ahead when they needed to in several, back-and-forth games this year, including earning the win at UAlbany despite season highs of 11 stalemates and 14 lead changes. The team is now 6-3 on the year in games with at least eight lead changes, most recently pulling out the win at UMBC.
